Religious Education – Fifth Sundays Service Project

Birthday Boxes

The RE program is starting something new this year–Fifth Sundays Service Projects. Our first one of these for the year will be September 30 and will be Birthday Boxes, a project of the United Way of the Piedmont. This is a service project to support children in our community who would love to have a birthday cake to celebrate, but may not be able to afford the items required. All of the children and youth in RE on this Sunday will create these boxes and make birthday cards to go in them. We are asking the congregation to give generously by supplying the items needed, noted on posters around the building, and in the newsletter. A collection box is located in the Fellowship Hall.

See Sybil or Patrice for more information.
