From Your President – December 2019

Modified on: January 24, 2020

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving and that you are planning some special activities during the upcoming Holiday Season. December will be another busy month at UUCS. Our Worship and Aesthetics Committee will be working to decorate our Sanctuary for the upcoming Holiday Season. Over the past several years Roy Haynes and David Hudnall used their magical decorating skills to transform our Sanctuary during the December Holiday Season. They have moved away but their decorating skills will always be remembered.

A tremendous thanks goes to Palma and Mitch Eisner and the whole Auction team for their record setting amount raised at our 2019 Annual Auction. You as Members and Friends of UUCS bid extremely generously to raise over $25,000 on Auction Night! Some items are still available and you can sign up for any remaining items in the Fellowship Hall. Thank You–Thank You–Thank You to our Auction Team, our Auction Donors and our Auction Bidders. Your efforts were Amazing this year.

Our Stewardship Committee has been revived this year after being dormant for a number of years. This committee is being Chaired by Board Trustee Brannon Carter. Your Stewardship Committee is working aggressively now to prepare for our 2020-2021 Annual Fund. This year’s Annual Pledge Drive will kickoff on Sunday, January 26 with a Lunch in Wilde Hall following our Sunday Service. Information on our Annual Fund Kickoff will be coming in early January, 2020.

Again, I am wishing everyone a very joyous Holiday Season, and a prosperous NewYear.

Peace & Love,
Rick Hahnenberg
President, UUCS Board of Trustees
